I'm sure every owner or manager has heard someone say ‘it's not in my job description' when asked to do something out of the ordinary. Which is SO frustrating. They are probably right, whatever it is that you are asking them to probably ISN"T in their job description, but in my experience JD's are obsolete before the ink on them is dry.
Employees need to have the attitude that says ‘absolutely - how can I add value'. What a delight that would be.
