He spent many years in the pharmaceutical industry where he gained his vast experience as a sales executive; sales manager, sales coach and trainer.
He spent 6 years working as a manager/development coach with GlaxoWellcome and GlaxoSmithKline, a role which involved coaching top-flight sales executives, first-line and senior managers, providing support to help them identify and achieve their business objectives. Particular emphasis was placed on supporting new managers who had been promoted into management from a sales function.
In 2001 Allan founded Performance-AM; his own coaching consultancy.
Allan coaches youths at Rugby Union and is president of his local Rugby Union Club.
