Gotta love a good turn-around


I once coached a sales professional who was in a horrible mess.

In fact, the guys who employed him were at their wits end with this guy and were just about to terminate his employment. 

Which sucked, because he was a good bloke and he had potential, he was just blocked and no one seemed to be able (including him) to get him through the blockage. 

So they hired me to work with him and over a 30 day period and with some strategy, scripts and dialogues coaching mixed in with some accountability, we helped this same guy win a company paid trip to go snowboarding in the US with one of his professional snowboarding hero's. 

I will never forget the company party where they made the presentation... 

The look on his face when they read out his name is burnt deep in my memory as a beautiful example of the way we all have the potential to turn our situations around.

I have to admit I had a tear in my eye as he walked up and accepted the award to a deafening roar from the other sales reps. 

And I'm not telling you this as a transparent excuse to big note my skill as a sales coach... 

I tell it to illustrate a point... 

and that is...

you gotta love a good turn-around story 

In fact stories are a PIVOTAL part of any high converting sales system.
