There's a lot of talk about leadership, but what actually is it?

According to the author, the root of the word comes from an ancient Anglo-Saxon verb, leaden, which means to go or to travel. So in essence leadership is always about a journey. And so when the going gets tough on that journey, and belief in the mission is waning, the leader has to keep belief, persevere, and make adjustments.

The book covers 20 key aspects of leadership - the good aspects of those qualities, and the dis-ease of those qualities. And this makes the book very different from other leadership books on the shelves.

Purpose - as a quality. Having the sense of purpose that brings people together. As a dis-ease - a person who displays, lots of busyness, activity, pomp and padding.

This book is a very refreshing read, and a very interesting ‘take' on the whole leadership mystery. In these interesting and challenging financial times, when true leaders seem to be in short supply, perhaps this book needs to reach a few people who have NOT been displaying great leadership qualities.
