Your 'curiosity' factor could determine your success or failure
I've been reading a series of blogs by George F. Coloney on what it takes to be an effective CEO.
One of the CEO's he studied is John Chambers - CEO at Cisco. According to Coloney, Chambers skills seem to be what he calls:
* Grab the marker - Chambers, when trying to explain and get buy in will literally get out a marker pen and work at a whiteboard - drawing and expanding his idea until people 'get' it
* Walks about - that good old chestnut. In my humble opinion, CEO's shoudl NOT even be given a desk - they should be made to stand and/or walk about!!
* CURIOSITY
* Accepting and embracing the future
* Vision plus execution
A summary of Chambers - tough and open.
