People don't leave organisations they leave managers
Over a 20 year HR career, I've rarely known emplolyees to leave an organisation (though if they do its usually because there is no career development) mostly they leave managers...
* Managers who are too bombastic
* Managers who don't trust them to do their job without breathing down theri neck
* Managers who don't delegate
* Managers who are bullies
* Managers who don't support them in the face of trouble - rather hang them out to dry
* Managers who manipulate
* Managers who play favourites
* Managers who don't communicate
* Managers who don't care
If a department has high turnover SOMEONE needs to be looking at the manager. Look at the cost of turnover!
