I'm Sorry. The art (or PR disaster) of apologising

Some people never apologise for anything; others apologise for everything....in the news of late we have seen several very public apologies.

Tiger Woods - Kevin Rudd (Australia apologising for the treatment of Aborigines during the Stolen Generation years); Gordon Brown for the children that were shipped out to NZ and Aus during the war years

Apologising is good for the soul if you are in the wrong; it is also healing for the person you are apologising to - but only if it is genuine.

We hear prisoners apologising to their victims. Are they really sorry or just sorry they got caught?

Did Kevin Rudd and Gordon Brown need to apologise when they were nothing to do with what happened (I believe it was fabulous that they did - sad that it took so long tthough)?

Toyota's eventual mea culpa over their stuck accelerator. I think the time it took them to apologise will do more harm than the actual problems with the accelerator.
