E.books are becoming more and more significant
I'm working with an organisation on a project 1000 e.books into libraries - which is exciting - and then today I read an article about the changes in the world of e.books.
Nintendo is advertising a 'game' which features 100 classic books AND you can get a soundtrack of crackling logs to go with your Christmas reading! (We would need the smell of a barbeque in our part of the world). How about that?
The growth in 'readers' whic can store thousands of texts also suggests that finally the e.book has arrived.
I had a discussion one day with a publisher friend of mine - she thinks e.books are tacky. Which irked me somewhat (yes we are still friends) but it got me thinking about the two modes and what was happening with them.
