To keep globally current, Taruni regularly invests in professional development opportunities with the Institute of Intercultural Communication, world leader for professional development; she also maintains linkages with other global practitioners via membership in virtual teams, and conferences hosted by the Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research (SIETAR).
Taruni has a BA, Masters of Education, and Diploma of Teaching. She is a co-author of the globally-validated intercultural training tool, Cultural Detective: New Zealand®, and a Lead Facilitator for Cultural Detective® professional certification. Within Australasia she is active as a member of the New Zealand Association of Training and Development (NZATD), the Equal Employment Opportunities Trust (EEO Trust) , and National Speakers Association of Australia (NSAA).
