Steve Hart writes news and features for numerous magazines and newspapers as well as created and launched many publications - taking them from an initial idea through to delivery and distribution - both in the UK and here in New Zealand.
Leading teams of people to successful outcomes is a key accomplishment in his work history. He especially enjoys setting deadlines, goals, and working diligently toward them with every member of the team understanding how they fit into the overall success of any given project.
Before moving to New Zealand in 2000 he worked in regional newspapers - reporting on crime, court cases and local politics. He also held positions such as chief sub editor and editor.
He worked in corporate communications for a few years until opting to lead a small team of 12 people as managing editor at a high-end contract publishing firm in London.
Until 2007 Steve worked at the New Zealand Herald in Auckland. First as chief sub editor of its daily business section and then as a section editor; firstly managing the Travel section and then the paper's Careers section (as well as turning my hand to project manage and edit a range of commercial publications for APN covering technology, health and business).
In 2007 he left to work freelance and has written about video, photography, technology, business, employment and finance.
Steve enjoys the multimedia world where the internet has allowed creative people to mix words, audio and video. Using the WordPress CMS program has made it so easy!
