Stephen became fascinated by executive failure in a new job ten years ago after watching a series of directors make decisions that eventually ruined a large and successful company. He set up Assimilating-Talent (previously BRC) to research why so many people in a new job go on to fail, despite previous job success and experience. This research has led Assimilating Talent to develop models that provide an "Accelerated Job Transition" for companies and individuals and also for retaining Top Talent.

Stephen is regularly contacted by the media and his articles on the topic of senior executive failure and retaining top talent have been featured in many of the leading UK and international business magazines.
