Ernest R. Twigg struggled in school and with his family throughout his teenage years. Dazed and confused, he talked to a Marine Recruiter. That talk influenced him to change his life. The best decision he ever made came in 1996 when he joined the Marines Corps infantry where he earned his way to Sergeant before exiting service in 2000.
After the 9/11 tragedy, he switched to a paramilitary organization working in a maximum security state prison and became part of the Florida Rapid Response Team dealing with riot control. In 2004 he went back into service to fight along his “brothers-in-arms” in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Combined Anti-armor Team Section Leader and as a Scout Sniper Team Leader. He continues to lead Marines and is currently a drill instructor.
