Don Cooke

Don Cooke is the Technical Director of CAL a company specialising in getting the best performance for their clients distributed/remote teams.

These teams can be:

• Mixed Office based, home-office and mobile staff
• Outsourced-offshore partner teams
• Large companies with a number of regional geographically distributed offices
• Collaborative business groupings and consortia - working in partnership

CAL does this through consultancy, training and technology services.

In February 2008 Don published an e-book ‘Inside Distributed Teams' providing case studies, advice, hints, tips and strategies for the adoption of effective distributed teams.

Don has over 20 years of computing industry experience, encompassing assignments in a wide range of commercial and public sector organisations. During this time Don has delivered successful technology focused projects, first as an analyst/programmer, then as a mentor, trainer, technical team leader/architect. Don has worked with Powergen, Elf, The National Intervention Board, Reed Personnel, Intrinsic software and SAS Institute.

Don's skills include a wide range of operational business and ICT technical knowledge embracing both Open Source and proprietary software spheres, leading edge development methodologies and tools, together with the skills of a good communicator/trainer and analyst.
