His family toured the country's showgrounds for more than 20 years taking on fighting enthusiasts from back of Bourke to The Alice, Cunnamulla to Kalgoorlie and beyond. But there was more than just the boxing stadium. His family enthralled the locals with a string of sideshows like ‘The Mighty Atom', the Siamese greyhound with five legs, six feet and two tails. Then there was Goliath, who was shown as the tallest thoroughbred in the world.

Dennis relates the stories of his childhood in a relaxed and friendly style, easily identifying with his varied audiences. He has also been in the corporate world where he grew a contracting business from none to 22 employees.
